Oh, you silly snow covered fa-cade!
Why did you have to whiteout the parade?
I, among many, was heading to campus to write.
...Now my schedule is open and plans remade,
Even as I, like today’s sunlight, fight fade.
To meet or not to meet, we did already decide.
But wherefore if not at the aforementioned site?
Would anybody like to journey to mi casa, for an impromptu meeting?
I think, therefore, I should at least attempt an emailed invite.
Because I am an Inkling that won’t go quickly or quite
Softly or unwritten into another sweet night.
My thoughts; I have a living room with comfortable seating,
I do have a dog that might accost what you’re eating,
But I know you could write here, because I often do.
And it’s open regardless of what nature’s repeating,
So I put it to y’all, does this sound to you, pleasing?
Decide if you have interest or nothing else more pressingly due,
And text me or ring me up, for my celly does call true.
Feel free to bring on over what you’d need to write or can carry,
And consider my home, in the early hour of afternoon’s two,
A space, not neatly, but made available, for our gathering, and you.
Should there be another ideal rescheduling of what the weather did tarry,
I am open to suggestions, and I hope that you are whereever, more merry.
